WORK INJURY BENEFIT ACT (WIBA)
Compensation is payable under the provisions of WIBA Act 2007. The maximum benefit is set at 96 months’ salary.
WIBA policy covers employees of the Insured whilst on duty and engaged in the execution of the Insured's business and/or any project undertaken by the insured against accidental bodily injury, disablement, death or occupational illness.
The compensation is payable under WIBA Act 2007.
Benefits to the company
Death – Compensation is equivalent to a maximum of 8 Years earnings or 96 Months earning.
Permanent Total Disability - Compensation is equivalent to a maximum of 8 Years earnings or 96 Months earning.
Temporary Total Disability - Compensation is equivalent to weekly earnings up to a maximum of 52 Weeks.
Medical Expense – The policy provides for a free cover limit up to Kshs. 100,00/- per employee. However, the insured may opt for an upper limit.
Funeral/Last expense cover - The policy provides for a free cover limit up to Kshs. 30,00/- per employee. However, the insured may opt for an upper limit.
Group Personal Accident
We live in an era when people do activities in groups from traveling together to living together and this is why in line with current lifestyles it is best we also cater for groups.
These policies cover accidental death or incapacitation to the insured. Compensation will be payable to the insured or his/her legal representative in accordance with the sum insured and scale of compensation agreed and specified in the policy schedule.
The age requirements for this policy are that the holder should be above 15 years and below 65 years. Policy can be given to individuals or group of individuals.
For students, we also provide a personal accident cover to individuals, schools and organized groups on very reasonable premium terms.
Special Group personal insurance is essentially a personal accident cover, which includes work, related occupational illness.
